Thinking through Technoscience: Reflexive Engineers

This project seeks to attain a critical understanding of the Engineering culture through the lens of the Humanities sensibility, especially significant in an academia like ours where it is predominant, and to share it with the rest of society.
It aims at achieving three goals: (a) to organize an anthology of "Classics of the Philosophy of Technology in the Engineering Tradition" (possibly bilingual: original language-Portuguese); (b) to write "A History of the Philosophy of Technology through the lens of the Engineers"; (c) to organize "Talking (about) Engineering", a series of talks given by engineers explaining to non-engineers or lay people how they reason and work.

Lead time: 2014-2020
